This is really incredible stuff. I bought the entire series and will be integrating it with my current game project. Are there plans for additional expansion of this pack? Especially 8 directions of movement - I'm doing a sort of RTS - but this works for now and looks great!
Hi! Thank you so much for the purchase, you’ve been really generous :) Yes, I do plan to expand the pack, both in terms of characters and environments. I’ve been thinking about 8-direction movement for a while now, and I believe I’ve found an interesting solution in terms of the amount of animations required. The current "side" animations work for both lateral movement and for 45° diagonal movement downward. Since the characters attack within a 180° arc, that direction is covered as well. Most likely, it would be enough to add side-view animations from the back for each character to also cover the 45° upward diagonal. I still need to run a few practical tests, but I think this approach could work. One step at a time ;) Thanks again!
Hi there! I’m currently working on 8-direction animations for the Ork Spearman. I’ve started with the idle state and will soon move on to the run state.
If everything goes well, I plan to update all the other characters in this and the other Pixel Quest packs as well.
Once the animations are ready, they’ll be added directly to this package. If you feel like sharing some feedback, I’d be happy to hear what you think! Talk to you again in the next update :)
